Land Stewardship and
Open Space Preservation

Here at Bamberger Ranch Preserve, we are a highly qualified team of biologists and conservation professionals who are passionate about our mission to share information about good land stewardship and the importance of protection of nature and biodiversity.

We are trusted by our community to provide outreach and learning opportunities such as workshops and consultations to landowners who wish to engage in sound land stewardship and conservation-oriented activities. This trust is informed by our 50+ years of experience in land stewardship and conservation planning.

Our Services

  • Landowner Workshops

Are you looking to be a part of a more sustainable land stewardship practice? Join us in attending one of our Landowner Workshops where you will gain a better knowledge base and experience working with the land, an appreciation for preservation of open space in the Hill Country, an appreciation of nature, and a tangible understanding of the critical reality that we must work to protect nature.

Workshops are 8 hours in length, with lunch provided.

  • Public Tours

On this 4 hour tour of the ranch you will see the results of 50+ years of habitat restoration. We will show you projects which demonstrate principles of good stewardship.

Other sites worth seeing include dinosaur tracks, fossil beds, a herd of endangered Scimitar-horned Oryx, and the “Chiroptorium” which is a man made bat cave designed to hold a million Mexican Free-tailed bats. You’ll walk the nature trail and then enjoy Madrone Lake as you watch “The Rain Machine.”
