Scimitar-horned Oryx Calf Wrangling Experience. Fundraiser Pricing: $2,000
For the first time ever, we are offering the chance to join in on the process of wrangling a scimitar-horned oryx calf with Steven Fulton. Steven has been working with the oryx for 18 plus years and is notably an Executive Committee Member for the Source Population Alliance working with these amazing animals. This experience will include an evening on the BRP from Saturday, April 9th to Sunday, April 10th where you can relax at the beautiful “Recycle” Cabin, made entirely from recycled materials, to complete this charming weekend in the Hill Country. The process of calf wrangling and tagging happens quickly—to return calves back to their mothers—which leaves plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of Selah from spending time on our hiking trails to enjoying the view at Madrone Lake. This experience is an opportunity to hold an hours-old calf with quick photo ops. Please keep in mind that, although this experience is planned at the optimal time for multiple calves to be born, we cannot guarantee a birth during your stay.
