Dr. Fred Smeins is the department chair of the Rangeland Ecology Department at Texas A&M University. He advises both the board and the staff on rangeland management issues. He is well published and recognized in his field, and is considered by many to be one of the state’s experts in regards to rangeland ecology and biodiversity.
